Best Alternative for concrete leveling is Mudjacking and Slab Jacking...

In civil engineering, concrete leveling is a procedure that attempts to correct an uneven concrete surface by altering the foundation that the surface sits upon.

  • Concrete driveways and concrete steps.
  • Interior floor slabs.
  • Concrete pool decks or pool surrounds.
  • Sunrooms with concrete floors.
  • Concrete roadways & parking areas.
  • Airport runways.
  • Concrete patios & landings.

Garage Floor Mudjacking

Here’s a look at what happens if you don’t repair your garage floor, and why Mudjacking is the best concrete repair option. An effective and inexpensive form of concrete repair, shovelling can stabilize uneven garage floors and level surfaces.

The good news is that lifting and leveling a concrete garage floor is a relatively easy process, although there are costs and elements of replacing the concrete. Concrete garage floors can rise or fall independently of the walls, causing a lot of unevenness throughout the floor. In addition, self-levelling concrete requires erosion and other serious foundation problems to be fixed before it can be used.

It can be a lot cheaper than a primer, but you should only use it if the slab hasn’t sagged more than an inch. Sand drilling is less traumatic than standard drilling because the operator can pump mud from under the sides without drilling holes in the slab. Mudgeking has been around for over 70 years. Mudgeking is a method of lifting a sunken concrete slab by pumping a mud-like mixture under the concrete to level it again.

Top mud, known as top slab, is a special concrete repair technique. Soil lift, also known as “slab lift” or “concrete leveling,” is a quick and inexpensive way to level sagging concrete foundations, walkways, patios, and driveways. Mud jacking is a process that uses a mixture of water, mud, and concrete that is pumped into large holes drilled in the concrete to level concrete slabs that are cracking in the driveway or falling from the garage. Mudgeking or slab lifting refers to the act of lifting a building, driveway or object by pumping concrete (also known as dirt for people working on the building) under the object being lifted.

It costs an average of $1,200 to $2,400 to treat a 400-square-foot swimming pool, or $2,800 to $6,000 when using concrete leveling foam. Elevated foam dirt trap concrete steps cost $200 to $400, or about $300 to $800, on stairs of 20 to 40 square feet. A 1,500-square-foot concrete foundation will cost $4,500 to $9,000 for a mud jack, while foam lift costs generally range from $10,000 to $25,000. Leveling uneven foundations with primer can cost between $4,500 and $9,000, although pumping is weaker and less stable than foam.

Mud removal is a very dangerous and delicate job that is rarely done in residential buildings. To pour new concrete in this architectural style would probably require mechanically raising and temporarily supporting my garage, breaking and removing the floor slabs, and pouring new floors before replacing the walls with concrete. Raising floor slabs is much less expensive and less invasive than replacing concrete floors. It’s an efficient and cost-effective method that has been used for hundreds of years to raise concrete floors in applications ranging from garage floors to driveways, sidewalks and more. Garage floors are dirtier than pouring fresh concrete or using a self-leveling mix.

Mudjacking Your Foundation

Mudjacking can be used to level concrete floors, concrete decks can be permanently repaired with leveled concrete slabs. In this case, waiting until it deteriorates beyond practical use before replacing it may be the best use of home renovation funds. While the slurry is primarily used to lift cracked and sagging concrete slabs, it can also be used to lift entire slumped buildings. Once lifted, small holes are filled with concrete and are often the only visible evidence of any repair. I disagree with your contractor that mud lifting is not durable, as I have seen garage sidewalks and bearings that have remained quite stable for years after drilling.

How can we help you?

concrete leveling & mudjacking

Sidewalks • Basement floors • Office floors • Driveways

As patios, walkways, driveways, and concrete steps sink, they can crack and create uneven surfaces. Sinking concrete is unsightly, and it can create a tripping hazard.

Footings • Patios • Garage floors

A great alternative to repairing or replacing concrete slabs is to lift concrete, also known as slab sledding or concrete leveling. There is a high demand for concrete levelling and concrete lifting.

Pool decks • Warehouse floors

Mudjacked Slabjacking has been described as the most cost-effective alternative to replacing submerged concrete.

Sinking concrete can be a serious problem

If you suspect that something might be wrong with your concrete, leveling might be the solution.
